Trent Spurgeon and Paul Vassallo Commit to Arizona

Two New Football Recruits

Trent Spurgeon, Offensive Lineman

Arizona picked up a HUGE commitment from 6'8 270 lbs offensive tackle Trent Spurgeon. According to GoAzCats.com Spurgeon, an Oklahoma product, is currently ranked as a four-star recruit and rated as the 22nd best OT prospect of the 2010 class. Trent selected Arizona over offers from Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas, Stanford, Missouri, and others. This marks the fifth offensive lineman taken in the 2010 class which includes: Mikey Bacus, Matthew Jakubiec, Chase Gorham, and Carter Lees. Congratulations to Stoops and Co. for continuing to build an impressive offensive line.

Paul Vassallo, Linebacker

Yesterday 6,3 230 lbs linebacker Paul Vassallo out of Sierra Community College committed to the University of Arizona. Vassallo chose Arizona over Iowa State and the University of Washington making him the 9th 2010 commitment Mike Stoops has picked up.
